A cute sky story for little learners!
Up in the big, dark sky, there lived a happy little star.
Her name was Twinkly. 🌟
Every night, when the sun went to bed, Twinkly would wake up. She would shine bright and beautiful in the sky.
Twinkly had a special sparkle. She didn’t just shine — she twinkled!
She blinked and blinked like she was saying,
“Hello down there! Can you see me?” 👋

🌙 “Look, a Twinkling Star!”
Down on Earth, a little girl named Mia looked up at the sky from her window.
“Mama! That star is blinking at me!” she said with a giggle.
Mama smiled and said, “That’s a star, sweetie. Stars twinkle. That’s what they do!”
Mia waved at Twinkly.
Twinkly saw her and twinkled extra big. ✨

🤔 Why Do I Twinkle?
Twinkly was curious.
“Why do I twinkle?” she wondered.
She asked her friend, Grandpa Glow, the oldest star in the sky.
“Grandpa,” Twinkly asked, “Why do I blink and sparkle, but the other stars just shine?”
Grandpa Glow smiled and said,
“You twinkle because of the air around the Earth!”
🌬️ The Air Makes You Wiggle
“What air?” asked Twinkly.
Grandpa said,
“The Earth is covered with air, like a big invisible blanket. That air moves all the time — it goes whoosh, whoosh!”
“When your light comes down to Earth, the air makes it wiggle and bounce. That’s why people see you twinkle!”
“Ohhh!” said Twinkly. “So the air is playing with my light!”
“Yes!” said Grandpa Glow. “It’s like a fun little dance in the sky.”

🪐 Planets Don’t Twinkle?
Just then, Penny the Planet floated by.
“Hi, friends!” said Penny. “What are you talking about?”
“We’re talking about twinkling!” said Twinkly.
“But wait… you don’t twinkle, Penny! Why not?”
Penny smiled and said,
“I’m closer to Earth than stars are. My light is stronger, so it doesn’t wiggle in the air. That’s why I shine, but I don’t twinkle!”
Twinkly giggled. “That’s cool! I twinkle because I’m far away, and the air plays with my light!”
🌟 Twinkly Feels Proud
That night, Twinkly twinkled her best twinkle ever.
She was proud to be a twinkling star.
Down below, Mia looked up again.
“There you are, Twinkly!” she whispered.
“Goodnight, little star. Keep twinkling for me.”
Twinkly blinked one last time and said softly,
“Goodnight, Mia.” 💫
